petitioner having taken the Amnesty Oath under the President's proclamation of the 29th May 1865, which he intends in good faith to keep and observe, and to observe in good faith all the laws of the Govt for its peace and happiness. He files also herewith the oath that he is not embraced in any one of the exceptions contained in said proclamation and the certificate that no steps have been taken for the confiscation of the said property.
