Superintendent of the Bureau of Refugees Freedmen and Abandoned Lands;

The petition of Thomas C. Parramore respectfully represents that he is a citizen of the County of Accomack in the State of Virginia and the owner in fee of the following tracts and parcels of land to wit: one tract, containing, by estimation, One Hundred and Fifty three acres, one other tract containing about Thirty Eight acres and one lot of about Thirty acres, all lying within from one half mile to within two miles of the Court House of said County;

That in the year 1861 he left his house in said County and was within the lines of the late Confederate Government until the last Spring. 

That he was paroled at Farmville May 6th 1865; that in Eastville Northampton County Va May 9th 1865 he took the oath of allegiance and Amnesty prescribed by the late President Lincoln; that on the 30th of June 1865 at Accomack C.H. he took the additional oath prescribed by President Johnson; that in pursuance of the terms of the Parole aforesaid, he returned immediately to his home where he has since remained, observing in all respects the obligations of said Parole and the oaths of Allegiance and Amnesty aforesaid. (Copies of said Parole and certificates of said oaths being duly taken are herewith annexed)
