This day Mattie Parrish personally appeared before me the undersigned a Notary Public in and for the City of Norfolk in the State of Virginia, duly commissioned and qualified and authorized by the laws of said state to administer oaths for the general purposes in said city, [?and?]being by me first duly sworn doth depose [?and?] say. that she is the same Mattie Parrish, daughter of Edward B. Parrish, who is now applying to be restored to the lands of her said father in the County of Elizabeth City Virginia, which is now before the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen [?L Aban?] Lands; that the officiant is not included in any of the classes of cases accepted in the President's Proclamation of the 29th May 1865, from the benefits of the oath  therein proscribed, that she has a good [?and?][??] title to the said two farms, which she now seeks the restoration of, as appears by the will of her father herewith filed; [?and?] that no title to the said farms has been acquired by the United States, by sale, confiscation or
