The above written instrument was subscribed by the said Edward B Parrish in our presence and acknowledged by him to each of us: and he at the same time, published and declared the above instrument so subscribed to be his last will and testament; and we at the testators request and in his presence have signed our names as witnesses hereto and written opposite our names our respective places of residence.

State of Virginia, Henrico County to wit:
This day J. C. Causey one of the witnesses signed to the within Will of Edward B. Parrish, and made oath that the said Edward B. Parrish was of sound mind and disposing memory, and that he the said Edward B. Parrish signed the said Will in his presence, and in the presence of of the other witnesses signed to said Will.

Given under my hand the 6th day of June 1863.

At a Monthly Court continued by adjournment, and held for Henrico County, at the Courthouse on Tuesday the Sixth day of October, One thousand eight Hundred and Sixty three _ This writing purporting to be the last will and Testament of Edward B. Parrish deceased, was this day presented in Court proved by the oaths of Wm Causey and Jas. C. Causey, two of the subscribing witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded.
