I beg to call your attention to the case of Robt. B Pegram [[strikethrough]] Esqr [[/strikethrough]] of Dinwiddie County Va, whose real property consisting of a house & lot No 28 York Street Norfolk, was taken possession of as abandoned property, by the agent of the Freedman's bureau; and on the first day of August 1865 was leased to N. Coleman, agent of the Mutual Freedman's relief association of New York, at the rent of $10- pr month for 12 months, who now have it in possession by tenants from the Northern states who occupy it and are engaged in teaching. [[strikethrough]] Pro [[/strikethrough]] This property had been libeled for confiscation in the U.S Court; Mr Pegram came under one of the exceptions of the President's late Amnesty Proclamation, made application, & obtained a pardon sometime during the last month; he also applied to the District Court of
