of a Mr. Barnard, who remained in occupancy thereof until the 14th of May 1862, when the ladies above referred to moved into the premises and remained there until the 17th of November 1863 when a Captain Johnson, an Officer in the United States Army, turned them out, took possession of the said premises, and remained in occupancy thereof until within the last two or three months, when they were taken charge of by Mr. Hudson, the Treasury Agent for Abandoned Property.

Your petitioner further represents that she has taken the Oath of Allegiance to the United States, as provided for in the Proclamation of the President, and means to comply with its conditions.
 
She therefore respectfully asks that the said property should be restored to her.
