This Deed made this 4th day of January in the year on thousand eight hundred and fifty nine between Thomas Carr and Marriella his wife, of the city of Portsmouth, Parties of the first part, and Joseph Reynolds of the city of Portsmouth, Party of the second part, witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of three hundred and seventy dollars the said Thomas Carr and Marrietta his wife do grant unto the said Joseph Reynolds, with general warranty, all that lot, parcel or piece of land, situated on the south side of Harrison street in that part of the city or Portsmouth, called Gosport, being parts of the lots no. 96 & 97 in the plan of said leity, commenting one hundred and twenty feet, from the intersection of third and Harrison streets, and sunning south ninety feet to George T. Guys land, thence East along the said line thirty feet, thence north ninety feet, along the line of John Cain's land to Harrison street, thence west along and Harrison street, thirty feet to the beginning and is parts of lots No. 96 & 97 conveyed by deed, from Samuel Smith, James Rev, and James Bennet to George Carson by their deed of record 20th day of Dec 1800, and reserved to in the deed from Britton Sandell and wife and James Macleman and wife to Augustus E Carson of record 13th February 1853. The said Thomas Carr covenants that he has the right to convey the said land to the granteeL that he has done no act to encumber the said land. That the grantee shall have quiet possession
