Port Oak, thence S 1/2 E 69 poles to a stake at the corner of a piece of land sold by E. B. Hicks to Rives, thence S 67 1/2 W 16 1/2 poles to Meherrin River at a Sycamore, thence up said river as it meanders 613 poles to the Beginning, being the same tract of land sold by D S. Hicks & Wm B Price Trustees &c to said T. F. Bouldin, except a small peice One acre & 3/10 attached to Union Church. And the said parties of the first part do warrant generally the property hereby conveyed.

Smith a Notary public for the County of Charlotte, in the State of Virginia, do certify, that Fanny W Bouldin the wife the wife of Thomas T Bouldin, whose names are signed to the writing above bearing date the 8th day of May 1862, persernally [[personally]] appeared before me in the County aforesaid, and being examined by me privily & apart from her husband, and having the writing aforesaid fully explained to her, she, the said Fanny W Bouldin acknowledged the said writing to be her act, and declared, that she had willingly executed the same and does not wish to retract it.
