This deed made this 15th day of September in the year 1862 between Thomas Flournoy and his wife of the first part, and C. H. Rhodes of the second pact. Witnesseth, that in consideration of the sum of one dollar the said parties of the first part do grant unto the said C. H. Rhodes, with general warranty, all their right title and interest in the following described parcel of land, to wit: Beginning at a [[strikethrough]] corner [[/strikethrough]] stump, the corner of said Flournoy's Dr. Hicks lands in said Rhodes' line, thence with said Rhodes' line S 83° W 24 1/2 poles to a hickory, S 83 3/4° W 104 1/2 poles to a hickory, S 89 1/4° W 7 6/11 poles to a white oak & N 2 E 115 6/10 poles to Union Church Lot, thence with the lines of said lot S 48 3/4° E 13 1/10 poles to a hickory & N 41 1/4° E 17 poles to a stake in Dr Hicks' line, thence with Dr Hicks' lines S 52 1/4° E 32 1/10 poles to a Red Oak, S 49 1/4° E 33 1/2 poles to a hickory, S 33 3/4° E 30 3/10 poles to a port oak, S 32 1/4° E 27 8/10 poles to a Red oak & port oak & S 29 3/4° E 19 2/20 poles to the beginning containing 55.050 acres, being a portion of the hart of land, lying on Meherrin River in the County of Brunswick, conveyed by deed to said Flournoy by George C Rives, and of record in the Clerks Office of said County
