Dear Sir
I am a citizen of Prin: Anne Co Va. and in right of my wife own a farm in said county, now in the hands of the Government. I held no commission in the Confederate Army, and having availed myself of the Amnesty proclamation, I now earnestly ask that said farm be restored to me as early as practicable. if it be impracticable to give me immediate possession of the land, the condition of my family is such as to induce me to most earnestly ask immediate possession of the Dwelling House. Hoping to receive an early answer, & trusting my application may be favorably considered I am
