This Indenture made this twentieth day of May eighteen hundred and forty eight between Peter Causse and Antoniett his wife of the City of Norfolk of the one part and Mirabeau A. Salusbury of the said City of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Peter Causse and Antoniett his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and ninety two dollars of lawful money of this Commonwealth to them in hand paid by the said Mirabeau A. Salusbury at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, Have bargained and sold and by these presents do and each of them doth bargain and sell unto the said Mirabeau A. Salusbury his heirs and assigns One half being the Northern part of a certain lot piece or parcel of land situate on Ten Church Street in the City of Norfolk and being one half of the same lot, piece or parcel of land which was sold and conveyed to said Peter Causse by Nathaniel Curriert and Lucinda his wife by Deed dated the sixth day of April Eighteen hundred & forty eight of record in the Clerks Office of Norfolk City and which by said deed is described as follows, the southern moiety of the land on the East side of Fen Church Street in said City, purchased by said Mr. Currier from Robert. A. Carter by deed dated  September 1827 and N.C. & C.R. King by deed dated 7th December 1838 the said Southern moiety of land hereby sold begins on Fen Church Street at the northern boundary of John Herters land and runs
