previous to his death, a confirmed invalid- never was a refugee from Norfolk during the war, but remained within the lines of the Armies of the United States as a loyal citizen: and was never in the Rebel army.

8. It is not the purpose of the petitioner, or of any of the parties in interest, as far as this Petitioner is informed, to apply to the Bureau to remove the present Tenant of the Bureau for the year A.D. 1866, now occupying the said farm, until his Lease shall expire in conformity with the terms and provisions thereof. 

9 It is the object of your petitioner, (in [[crossed-out]] process [[/crossed-out]] seeking to procure an order of the Bureau for the restoration to him, as holding the Legal Title under the Deed of Trust, (a copy of which is herewith filed, marked (A.)) - And it is the desire of the [[crossed-out]] wife [[/crossed-out]] widow and children of said Aaron Jeffery, and of the Personal Representative of said John E.
