Dear Sir
I beg leave to renew the application in behalf of Mrs Angelina E. Johns for the restoration of her property in Norfolk viz 3 Dwelling Houses on Freemason Street Nos. 3, 5, & 7. House No. 31. Granby Street, and furniture therein in which last house she as a dower interest. It was my purpose to have appealed from your decision on this case but in view of the general policy of the Bureau as now settled by Circular No. 15 dated Sept 4, 1865 to restore lands and property held by it as abandoned to the former owners who have a right to claim the benefits of the Presidents Amnesty of 29th May ult either by virtue of a Special Pardon or of the Oath thereunder when not embraced in any of the exceptions therein enumerated.
