This deed made this the 17th day of February 1859- between Margaret Lewis of the one part and The Portsmouth Building Association of the other part witnesseth that the said Margaret Lewis for the consideration of one thousand dollars the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged doth grant with general warranty unto the said Portsmouth Building Association the following property to wit, a certain parcel & lot of land situated in the part of the City of Portsmouth known as New Town, and bounded as follows, beginning at the South East intersection of Sixth and Lincoln Streets thence, running along said Sixth Street in a South Easterly direction one hundred and twenty feet Thence in a North Easterly direction and parallel to Lincoln street one hundred and eighty feet Thence in a North Westerly direction and parallel to sixth street one hundred and twenty feet. and Thence in a South Westerly direction along Lincoln Street one hundred and eighty feet to the beginning. The same being lots numbered in the plan of said New Town, two hundred and ninety seven (No 297) and two hundred and ninety eight (No 298) - and is a part of [[Strikethrough]] the S number [[/Strikethrough]] the property that the said Margaret Davis is sole heir heired from her mother Catherine Mackay and was given to her said mother by will of William Mackay
