C. E. Johnson Ass't Sup't at Norfolk in endorsement says he has seen Mr Taylors pardon, and certifies to his acceptance of the same; gives description of the property in the hands of the Bureau; says he has taken the ground, that before the property can be restored, the decree of confiscation must be dismissed, but says that Tazewell Taylor, Counsel, asserts that we can surrender our claim, and allow the decree to remain.

Col Brown Asst Com'r asks if the Bureau can restore property which has been libelled in the U.S. Courts and against which a decree of condemnation has been entered, but which has not been sold under the decree.
