I Robert E Taylor of the City of Norfolk in the State of Virginia being sick and weak of body, but of sound and disposing mind do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time made

1st I direct that all my just debts shall be paid by my Executors

2 I give to my wife Virginia to her Executors and administrators forever my Slave Sally and all my chamber furniture and four thousand four hundred dollars of her six percent stock of the State of Virginia at par value, should I not have so much of such stock at the time of my death I desire and direct my Executors to buy it for my said wife. 

3 I give and devise to my said wife for and during her natural life all my real Estate and houses bounded by Main Street, Concord Street and Martins lane and the Channel of the Creek north of the said property. I give the said Slave and furniture and stock and Real Estate to my said wife in lieu of her dover and thirds and of all other interest and Claims in my estate

4 I give and devise to my mother N Taylor her heirs and assigns forever all my share and interest in the houses and lots of land at Townpoint in the City of Norfolk and I give to my said mother for and during her natural life all my share and interest in and to all the property which was devised and bequeathed to me by my father except the houses and lots of land on Smiths Point and the vacant lots on either side of Wide Water Street and the land near Fort Norfolk and suck as may be otherwise disposed of herein

5 I give to Mrs Ann Southgate the mother of my wife a Mourning Ring to be selected by my wife and paid for by my Executors
