On the 17th inst, I wrote to you to ask which of orders said to have sent respecting the timber on my farm, and also asking to be informed what steps were being taken to remove the blacks from the plantation -

On yesterday (27th) recd you answer respecting the wood - but nothing was said with regard to the removal  of the negroes. - I shall be glad to know what is to be done in that matter, and when I may expect to get possession of my farm.  Until I know that, I cannot make any arrangement for the cultivation of even the small part
