Norfolk Virginia
September 7th 1865

Sir:

The undersigned on behalf of himself and the following other heirs of Anne B Taylor deceased, case of the city of Norfolk in the state of Virginia, to wit:

Lucy Taylor of the said city of Norfolk and Lizzie Taylor Harris, Bettie and Baynham Taylor minor orphan children of tender age; would respectfully represent that his mother the aforesaid Anne B Taylor, died interstate in the city of Norfolk State of Virginia in the month of November 1861, leaving a certain lot of land with a house theron situated on Dartmouth street and numbered nine, that the said house and lot are now heed by the Freedmen's Bureau of Washington, by reason of it having been left vacant by the family in May 1862.

The undersigned having taken the oath required under the amnesty Proclamation of the President of the United States, would respectfully ask that the aforesaid house and lot be restored to him and the other heirs above named and in whose behalf this petition is made.
