079 statutes, or in other words, the printed copies of Statutes are required to be received as evidence in every Court in Virginia (See Code Va of 1860, ch. 16. Sec. 16. page 114); these statutes then being evidence, prove beyond all question the Corporation was duly organized. But you require "the names of the 
"men composing the corporation, and a schedule of property showing the 
"share of each". As stated the original Capital was $1,500,000, which was increased to upwards of $2,500,000, and by Act of Assembly passed March 4th 1846 the Capital was reduced to the last named sum of $2,500,000 ? Can it be expected, or required, that the names of the thousands men and women and orphan children who compose this corporation should be given. "A Schedule of the property showing the share of each" is required; permit me to inquire? What property? Is it to embrace the real and every species of property belonging to the Bank; if so, the mother Bank and each of its various Branches would have to make a schedule, and then a distributed account showing the share of each, so as to meet this requirement; suffice it to say, this distributed account will soon be made, and in winding up the affairs of the Bank, the corporation will realize nothing, when its notes or currency are paid. 

2nd "Copy of each mans "Oath of Amnesty" or evidence of Special Pardon" is also required by you. The number of men, women and orphan children composing this Corporation, are probably, between 2,000 & 3,000 the State of Virginia is also a large Stockholder. ?How is this to be accomplished.? Shall application be made to the State Department or to the clerks of the various District Court for copies. You must see the other impossibility of meeting this requirement 3rd "Certificate of District Clerk that no action has been commenced or is now pending to confiscate the property of any one of the members of the corporators."
