This deed made the 10th day of December in the year of our lord 1857 between James P. Selby and Wilmina his wife of York County, James W Cristy & Mr M Pettitt of the city of Williamsburg of the other part and Saml C White of the County of Accomack State  of of Virginia of the  other part whereas the said James P Selby and Wilmina his wife have made sale of the real estate herein after mentioned to the said Saml C White and the said [[Strikethrough]]  Saml C White [[/Strikethrough]] real estate has heretofor been conveyed to the said James W Cristy as trustee for the purpose of securing certain debts due by the said James P Selby to the said Wm U Pettett and whereas the said Wm U Pettett is willing that the said real estate shall be released from his debts secured thereon and a clear title to the same conveyed to the said Saml C White and to accomplish that and has requested the same James W. Cristy to unite with the said James P. Selby in conveying the title to the said White which assent and request of the said Mr. U Pettitt is witnessedby his signing and sealing this deed.

Now therefore this deed witnesseth that the said James P. Selby and Wilmina his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Twelve Thousand Dollars & the said James W Cristy trustee in consideration of the premises do grant unto the said Samuel C White all that tract or parcel of land called "Temple Farm" situated on York River in York County
