I ask to have returned to my possession my Home on High Street Portsmouth with the lot of land attached thento occupied by Mr. Monsemat or [[?]] as a barber shop and Mr. Smedly or Smith as a residence._ Also my farm and lands in Norfolk County standing on the books of the office of the Freedmen bureau here as held for military purposes.  My farm and lands in Norfolk county confirm a tract of near 300 acres on which I reside known thro the war as Gettysville - a farm or tract of 90 acres about three quarters of a mile from the tract just mentioned situated also in Norfolk county on the Western Branch of Elizabeth River, and a piece or tract of land near Portsmouth between the lands of the Estate of Wm PatCork decd and Mrs. Sally Milion.  

I file with this the certificate of my having taken the amnesty oath under the Proclamation of Prest. Johnson of the 29th of May 1865 dated on 5th day of June 1865 -

Certificate of the District attorney that the libel against my property has been dismissed My affidavit on to my not being embraced by any of the exceptions contained in said proclamation

Certificate of the Clerk of the Hastings court of the City of Portsmouth of my title to the House and lot on High Street.  

Certificate of the Clerk of Norfolk County Court of my title to those tracts of land mentioned above one mentioned as 291 acres.

No military force has been on my lands so far as I am aware for the last two months.  I know not until day before yesterday that my farm and other county lands were on the Books of the office here.
