Warwick County to wit Wm Wood this day personally appeared before me & made oath that allegations set forth in the application hereto annexed one true to the best of his knowledge and belief. Given under my hand this 2nd day of October A.D. 1865.

Wm B Jones who was the clerk of the county and circuit courts of the county of Warwick state of Virginia long before inauguration of the war and at the time of its breaking out & who was the custodian of the records of said Court, this day personally appeared before me & made oath that the records of the said county court of Warwick conveying real estate showed that George Jones named in the application [[strikethrough]] to be [[strikethrough]] was entitled by deed of record in said court to the land described in said application & that he never conveyed or transferred the same but died seized & possessed of the said land. Given under my hand this 3rd day of October AD 1865.
