An application is made for the return of Baptist Church building at Kempsville to former congregation-

There are circumstances in the case which render it desirable that the order asked should be carefully considered - There are many colored members of the church, but under the old state laws the entire control of the church property was rested in white trustees - and under the new order of things if the power of control is placed in the hands of white trustees, without previously securing freedom to worship for the colored members, they might be shut out entirely or what in this particular case is not improbable, the church may be closed entirely, simply to throw out the colored people, the noisey character of their services, having been complain-
