Many of them are in a very bad condition. The larger portion are without means of identification owning partly to the slight material out of which the head boards were made viz - out of cracker boxes in many cases
In some cases the plow has been run very near these graves but I am unable to learn of any act of desecration.

M. Taylor adm'r of Kirby - would be able to inform Messrs Johnson and [[?]] - that the Military Police did not have charge of the body of R. F. Kirby - at any time -
