Respectfully returned with the information that this within mentioned horse originally belonged to Mrs. Lawson and that he was left with Mr Shelton by Genl Stonemans Command and that said horse was rode to Patrick Court House by Mr. Shelton and that while said horse was there, Mr Lawson noticed him and claimed him as the property of his mother. and asked him if he would give him up.
