At a special meeting of the Board of Overseers of the Poor for the county of Bland, conveaned to answer certain questions propounded by the Superintendent of the Freedmen's Bureau, held at the Court House on Saturday the 28th day of April 1866.

In answer to the first question,

It is ordered that the county provide for all colored persons, the same as white persons, who were residing in said county at the close of the late war.

We suppose that the second question is fully answered in the first one.

In answer to the third question, we the Board, say that we will be governed by an act of the general assembly of Virginia passed January the 15th 1866.
