in consequence of it the family suffering now is praying upon me for some kind of aid.  

Notwithstanding the county of Rappahannok is willing to provide for the poor, and in purpose to provide a home for the same has bought a large farm, and after a while will be able to take care of the greater part of this poors; it is not able to do so yet, & others who are not willing to go in the poorhouse, after harvest will by their own earning and partial support of their white & freedmens friends git along again without Governments aid x being furnished to them longer than three months.  

While recommending partial Ration to be issued to the herein named sufferers, and some more which I expect will call on me for, for the month of June, July & August I enclose a Provision return, for 620 Ration for the month of June, which Ration I respectfully request to be send to me as quick as possible. A Suppley of Clothing for which I allready aplied in my letter of the 9th inst. I must call again, but not knowing the kind of them as may be issued I can't make a Estimate. Allmost all included in this letter need some part of Clothing or whole setts, it may be in sehd 1/5 mens, 2/5 woman, 1/5 female children & 1/5 Boys in clothing. & I will do the best in dividing the same as they are the most needet.
