Office of Asst Superintendent Sub Dist Spottsylvania County Fredericksburg Va. Aug 1" 1866 Roberts, W.G. Lieut. and Asst Supt. Reports, in obedience to Circular No 18. Paragraph 1 Hd Qrs Asst Com'r Va. Richmond Va. dated May 8" 1866, that there are a few destitute White persons in the city who have applied to him for rations. Made inquiry of the overseers of the Poor as to their ability to supply such cases, and was informed that they had means to support all those who called on them for assistance - and who were actually destitute. 18 Bureau R.F. & A.L.
