The Sanitary Condition of the Freed-people in the country is good. In and around Manchester, however, the land being low, flat, and improperly drained, milarious diseases are very numerous and many are under medical treatment

On the 11th inst I received S.O. No 111 from Hd Qrs. Asst. Com. Dist of Va directing that in addition to Chesterfield Co. I take charge of Powhatan County and not having visited that County during the month I am not fully posted as to the Condition of Bureau affairs therein.
