The women were in their own house singing, when Schofield went to them and ordered them to stop, which they refused. He then entered the house and commenced beating them, first with his fists, afterwards drawing a knife and inflicting a painful wound accross back of hand of one of the women - Schofield was fined $15.00 and let go without reproof or caution from Court. |
