Office Asst. Supt. B.R.F. & A.L. King William Court House Va. June 30th 1866. Genl S C. Armstrong Supt 9th Dist. Va. Fort Monroe. Va. Sir I have the honor to report in obedience to Cir. No. 10 Hd Qrs. Asst Com'r Va. Richmond. Va March 12th 1866. That there has been but one of two cases brought before the Courts during the present month and that in my opinion they were fair and impartial trials. And I am happy to say that the feeling that has existed in regard to Freedmen giving evidence is fast dying away And I think that full justice will be given them in all cases that may come before the Court of Magistrates. Very Respectfully Your Obdt Servt Frank A. Butts. Asst Supt Kg. Wm. Co Va.
