General:
In compliance with Circular No. 10. I make the following report:

There has been two Freedmen tried in this Sub. Dist. since my last report for stealing sheep and hogs: they received a very fair trial and were convicted. the court sentenced them to one days imprisonment and to receive thirty-nine lashes, which was given them. The stolen property was found between their beds.

No complaints have been made to the civil authorities by Freedmen to my knowledge.
