In obedience of par VI Circular No 10 C.S. Hd. Qrs. Asst. Comr. State of Va. of date Mch. 12, 1866. I have the honor to report that the several criminal and civil cases, pertaining to freedmen, that have come under the civil jurisdiction of this Sub Dist. during the past month, have received very fair and impartial justice, I do not know of but one case in which I think otherwise, and in that the Justice of the Peace is going to grant the parties another trial which will take place during next month.
