Stone Supt 2nd District Petersburg Va Maj: In obedience to instructions contained in Par VI Circular No 10, from B.R.F. & A.L. Head Quarters Asst. Com'r State of Va. Richmond Va March 12 1866, I have the honor to enclose herewith a statement of all the "Criminal Cases" (in which colored persons were parties) tried in the "Civil Courts of Prince Edward Co. Va" during the month of August 1866. I have attended the trials alluded to, and am of the opinion that the interests of the Freedmen have not suffered by the transfer of the cases named from the Freedmen's
