of the Magistrates, I am disposed to believe that justice and a fair trial will be afforded to the Freedmen.

I shall however be more able to state in my next Report more fully the justice shown to the Freedmen, and the faith in which their evidence is received by the Courts, as I will by that time have had an opportunity of witnessing several trials.
