6th Wm. Carter. Misdemeanor. Specification In this that he did unlawfully, but not feloniously injure, kill & destroy by backing into a well one mule the property of J.P. Goodwyn valued at $150.00 Findings. Not guilty. Discharged.

7th Isham Edmonds. Charge misdemeanor. Specification In this that he did on or about the 10th day of June 1866 take, steal and carry away one hog, the property of J.W. Maddera valued at $15.00. Findings. Guilty. Sentenced to three months imprisonment in the county jail and twenty lashes.

8th Isham Watson & Wm. Jackson. Charge Misdemeanor by them committed. Specification. In this that they did on or about the 31st day of May 1866, armed with muskets and other fire arms forcibly attempt to rescue from the custody of J.G. Boisseau a policeman of said county R.J. Hobbs a prisoner charged with felony. Findings. Guilty. Fined $500.00 and three months imprisonment.

9th Richard Ruffian. Charge & specification the same as Watson & Jackson. Findings. Guilty. Sentenced to one months imprisonment and $500.00 fine.

I have the honor to report further that in the above cases of adjudication the Freedmen in my opinion have been treated with impartiality and fairness and the law respecting their testimony carried out in good faith.
