I have the honor to submit the following report, in compliance with instructions contained in Circular No 10 C.S. H'd Qr's, Asst Com'r State of Va.

At the December session of the County Court of Pr George, no cases were examined, in which the interests of the freedmen were involved.

(In the Dinwiddie Court there were several cases, but only one was examined, the rest were continued. I think this case, is one of special interest, and I ask for it your attention. It was the examination of E. Nunnally (white) for the shooting of Albert Harper, a freedman. Harper lived on the land of Nunnally, and one day while he and his wife were absent, his
