Richmond Va General I have the honor to report in Compliance with Circular No 10 Par 6 - Hd Qrs Asst Commr B.R.F. & A.L state of Va. dated Richmond Va March 12th 1866- the result of turning over to civil authorities jurisdiction in Criminal cases over colored person with reference to the interest of the latter - No cases have been tried in the County Court of Culpeper during the month & no preliminary examinations in cases where the colored person was a party. But one Case in the County Court of Rappahannock Va & that of a colored man charged with burning a house was examined & sent in for trial next term Circuit Court in this case a white man who was an accessory to the crime was also sent in for trial- next term Circuit Court.
