Richmond Virginia General: I have the honor in compliance with Circular No.10, Bureau R.F. & A.L. Head Qurs. Asst. Commissioner, State of Virginia, Richmond, Va, March 12th 1844, to make the following report: I have had several complaints from colored parties that injustice has been done them before while before magistrates courts. I cannot however make any report in these cases as I was not present at the trials for the reason I have had no means of getting to them - I have no horse - In the preliminary trials of the negro John Corbin, (colored) on the 13th of present-month although both white and black testimony was taken, still I do not think that justice was done the negro.
