General - Bhave the homes to make the following report relative to the administration of civil justice mid my Sub diotrical, compromising the counties of Montgomery Pulaski and Miles, 8th District Dept of the Polomue for the month of Febuary 1867. The only caed of my wrist and persecution by the civil authorities is that referred to Rio my special reports of the 14th and 16th mieti, andrealtes to two returned beloved soliders, who mid Febuary 1866( while on burlough from their Requirement) were arrested and incarcerated mid the Salem Jail; for the alledfed offence of attempting the life, of Mr.Robert T Preston of this county(late Colonel in the Rebel Service). According to the testimony of Mr.Preston, no action was taken by the Civil offices of Justice over
