General:
Pursuant to Par. VI, Circular No. 10 — Series 1866, from your Hd. Qts., I have the honor to report as follows.

No case to which a Colored person was a party came up for hearing before the County Court of my Sub-Dist. this month; and I am cognizant of but one that has been elsewhere adjudged; Viz — that of "John H. Green," white, indicted by the Grand Jury at the March Quarterly term of the County Court for shooting at "Robt Tinsley", colored. The bench warrant which was issued in this case could not be executed sooner, owing to Accused having been sick abed. The hearing came off before "John J. Saunders," J.P., on the 13th Inst, and the Accused was sent on for further examination by the County Court in April.

No apprehensions of Colored persons have to my knowledge been made during the month; and there have been no complaints of a serious character. It has been remarkably and unusually quiet.

I am, General, Very Respectfully,
Your Obt Servt
W. F. De Knight
