of influence and prejudice against the Freedman, and in the favor of the Whites.
There has been no cases during the past month where injustice has been done to Freedmen before the Magistrates or by the Courts, and I now believe that the prospect of justice being done them, is better than it has been, although there is still a prejudice against the veracity of a Colored person even when under oath.
