tried before Juries. The citizens from which Juries are empanneled are usually of the more common order of intellect - and have imprinted prejudices which they do not readily overcome. This I have noticed on several occasions and it has even been acknowledged by the more intelligent, 
At the sitting of the present Circuit Court a case of this kind occurred in which the Jury gave a very one sided verdict,- Application has been made for a new trial and the Judge has granted it I understand, 
I have another case which I shall make a special report of as soon as I obtain further facts,
