Same-vs- "John Green" - colored - for unlawfully cohabiting with "Ellen Ferguson" - white. Continued till next term. This case has been made mention of before, the parties having been previously indicted. 

The Same-vs- "Joe Lavinder" - colored - for cutting down trees on land of "Wm S. Hall" - white. Was previously indicted. New copies awarded to force attendance at next term.

"Joseph Street" (colored) vs Thos M Hawkins" - white. Suit for money due by contract.  Judgt for plaintiff for $40.00.

"James R Claiborne" - white.  Trustee - vs. "Matthew Hicks" - colored. On a contract for rent Judgt for plaintiff for $15.00 without costs.

"Thos H Burnard". White. Agent for "Thos. J. Craft". white. vs. "Caleb Hill" colored.  Upon a bond for money due for rent.  Judgt for plaintiff for $50.00. 


"James Smith" - colored - vs "Wm R Waid" - white. Dissmissed by agreement of the parties. 

The following indictments, in which colored persons were concerned, were made by the Grand Jury viz:
"Hudson Finney" - colored- for Petit Larceny. Copies awarded by the Court.
"Green Noell". colored. for Petit Larceny.  Copies awarded by the Court.
"Wm R Waid" white - for assaulting "James Smith" - colored - copies awarded against - Defendant.
One of the two Freedmen last named as indicted, was charged with stealing eleven ears of corn out of a horse trough. 

In my report of March 31st pursuant to Circular No 6 Series 1866 I mentioned the case of an old colored woman, named "Cejus Williams", aged over
