Often the only complaint is, they can't agree & won't live together. Yet, they are fully informed of their marriage relations under the Act of Feby 27 1865.

The feeling between the Races is good. This fact is proven, by the number of political meetings which are being held, where the greatest latitude has been allowed, in regard to the expression of sentiment, & yet there has not been a difficulty of any kind. Some threats have been made to interrupt the meetings of the Union Leagues in the County, but that is all it amounts to.  The blacks have 130 majority voters registered in Appo. County.
