Bureau R F and A Lands Office A.S.A.C. 2nd Dist 6th S. D Bowling Green, Caroline County Nov 1. 67. O'Dwyer, John, Bvt Col Capt. V.R.C. A.S.A.C Reports in compliance with Circular No 10 Hd Qrs Asst Comr State of Va March 12th 1866. That four freedmen were tried by jury on a charge of Highway-Robbery, were judged justly "Guilty" and sentenced respectfully as follows: John Chase (or Fitz Hugh) 15 years Reuben Wright 12 years Cornelius Morris 10 years Robert Wright 10 years in the State Penitentiary. Part 4 and 5 of said Circular is complied with, but not so the endorsement of Maj. Genl Perry thereon Bureau R F and A Lands Headquarters Sub Asst Comr 6th S.D.Va. Fredericksburg Va Nov 2nd 1867 Respectfully forwarded James Johnson Brevet Lieut Colonel Sub Asst Commissioner E and M. [[strikethrough]] Mil. Comr [[/strikethrough]] Vol 2 for 288.67.
