In compliance with Circular No 10 Hd Qrs Asst Comr State of Va Richmond Va March 12th 1866 I have the honor to report; -That four Freedmen named John Chew (or Fitzhugh) Reuben Wright, Cornelius Morris and Robt Wright were tried before our civil courts for Highway Robbery, and found Guilty They were tried by a Jury There was no doubt of the guilt of the accused parties, I had the honor to make a full report of those cases during the month. They were sentenced as follows
John Chew (or Fitzhugh) to 15 years in the penitentiary,
Ruben Wright to 12 years in the penitentiary,
Cornelius Morris to 10 years in the penitentiary,
Robt Wright to 10 years in the penitentiary,
Par 4 & 5 of said Circulars is complied with as far as I can learn.
The endorsement of Major Genl Terry on said Circular is not complied with
