General:

I have the honor to report, in compliance with instructions contained in circular 10. H'd Q'rs Asst. Com'r series 1866, that no cases were tried in the civil courts of Lunenburg County Va during the month of April 1868, in which Freedmen were parties to the suit, or interested or important witnesses. 

A few cases are now pending which will be tried at the May term.
