man, at the trial of Freedmen before the Courts the same forms are used as in the case of White Men, there are cases where there is mitigating circumstances but in every case they are punished to the full extent of the Law.

Magistrates, Commonwealth Attornies [[Attorneys]] and Juries are disposed to be severe an the Freedmen, the perpretation [[perpetration]] of Crime in this division by the Freemen residing therein is of rare occurrence.
