In compliance with Cir No. 10 Series 1866. I have the honor to report that no cases of partiality or unfairness by the civil Courts in cases in which Freedmen are interested parties have been reported during the month ending June 30th 1868.

The testimony of colored witnesses is admitted the same as of whites.

At the Quarterly term of the County Court for Smythe county Saml. Watson (col'd) was convicted on trial for horse stealing and sentenced for eight years  Also Wm. Fields (cold) convicted on trial for house breaking and sentenced for four years.
